Clayton Griessmeyer is a criminal
defense and personal injury lawyer who grew up in
Sheboygan, WI. One of the reasons he represents injured
bicyclists is because of his love for sports and competition. At
the age of 8 he began competing in local road races along with
his brother and father, and by age 12 was competing in sprint
triathlons. He continues to compete in triathlons, running
races, bicycling, and swimming events.
Attorney Griessmeyer truly cares about helping people. Growing
up with a father who owns a small construction business, and a
mother who works as a mamographer, he learned the importance of working
hard and helping people. He has spent time volunteering for
various non profit organizations including a battered women's
shelter, homeless shelter, the Boys and Girls Club, Bike Fed of
Wisconsin, and various other athletic clubs and organizations.
Before attending law school, Attorney Griessmeyer was an
elementary school teacher for four years. He began his teaching
career at the Milwaukee Academy of Science. After three years
teaching fifth grade and obtaining tenure at Cumberland Elementary School in
Whitefish Bay WI, Attorney Griessmeyer moved to San Diego to attend
law school at Thomas Jefferson School of Law.
While at Thomas Jefferson, on an academic scholarship, Attorney
Griessmeyer was nominated to Who's Who Among Students in
American Universities, and won first place in the Roger Traynor
Moot Court Competition at UC Berkeley (after arguing before a
former California Supreme Court Justice). He also earned the high
grade award for Electronic/ Internet Commerce.
He graduated Cum Laude in only two and a half years and passed
the California and Wisconsin bars upon graduation from law
school.
Attorney Griessmeyer is admitted to practice law in all of the State
Courts in Wisconsin, California, and the Federal Court for the
Southern District of California.
